The Monterey Bay Trekkers hiking program is an opportunity for Cub Scouts and their families to explore local hiking trails and parks in Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz Counties. Through the Trekkers program, Cub Scouts and their families will also learn why health and fitness are important for a long-lasting and productive life.
The Golden Gate Area Council Pathfinders Hiking Patch Program offers a series of hikes which are located throughout the San Francisco Bay Area that can be completed by older Scouts BSA Troops, Venturing Crews, Sea Scouts, and Explorers. There are hikes for outdoor adventure for all levels of fitness and ability. The Pathfinders hikes are a combination of the retired Rim Rovers and Highlander hiking patch programs.”

Pacific Skyline Council Camps
Historic Trail - Older Scouts
The Pacific Skyline Council Camps Historic Trail is a 12.4 mile hike linking the three camps of the old San Mateo County Council that were located in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Redwood Historic Trail - Cubs
The Redwood Historic Trail is located at Boulder Creek Scout Reservation. Only three and a half miles long, but full of interesting facts about the redwood tree and the redwood logging industry, the trail has 18 stations that weave the story of early California logging history.
Starting and ending at the bridge to the Boulder Creek Scout Reservation parking lot, the Nature Trail has 34 stations to find and observe native plants in three ecological zones
